We lost easily to Yorkshire with only Chris Rej gaining points losing a close five setter.
The match against Surrey was much closer, Samuel Hewson and Charlotte Davies losing close five setters.

Ladies Inter-county match report

In the first match of the day a very strong young Avon team narrowly saw off an also young and nearly as strong Suffolk team 3-2 and the match ending in a thrilling 3-2er that ended in a stroke!!!

We’ve all walked off the court feeling like we’re missing that extra edge in our game. In a desperate attempt to rectify our performance we pick up the phone book and start searching for a coach. A process that can be long, and frankly rather dated.
Another option you have is to check out the coach some guy at the gym said was “cheap and effective”, only to find out he doesn’t even live up to his small fee.
For those more computer savvy you may even trawl through a search engine hoping to find that perfect coach, only to find out he’s booked solid. So what next?

BudCam 2014 - 24th May

Despite some problems we had last year, BudCam 2014 is going ahead this year too (in a different club)!

For those who don't know what this is, BudCam is a friendly team tournament between Budapest (Hungary) and Cambridge (or England, as it's not only the Cambridge area). It really is a tournament for all players at all levels so if you fancy visiting the sunny capital of Hungary with a group of squash players for a great weekend, please get in touch!
